Oh WOW, I have all girls.....Maybe I could suggest some things we love!

So I was at the Dr. office today with Sutton, Jacque and Brooklyn, and I was just sitting in the waiting room when the nurse behind the counter asked me where I found Suttons AWESOME headband.  I told her that got it from
Little Penelope Lane.  "What is that?" she asked.  "Oh she makes hand made fabulous head bands".

Then I realized that I am immersed in a fluffy, frilly, sugar and spice world.  I spend countless hours on etsy.com, I love searching blog after blog for the cutest, most unique hand made girly items around.  So I guess I know where to find the cutest of the cute girl stuff.

I'm not a big store shopper.  I love to shop, but I love custom, hand made things.  They are always better then something you fin in stores, and not always more expensive.  So I want to share a few of the awesome places I shop for my little princesses.  I figure I should share the love right? Well here it is.

My new found love for hair accessories is a little shop called Little Penelope Lane. You can find her here.
She has the cutest headbands that DON'T hurt!!  Yes, that's right, they don't hurt after a few hours of wearing them.  I have been searching for cute head bands that don't hurt.  They stay in the hair even while playing at the park, taking your sweat shirt off, and just being an active 4 year old.  They stay put.  Hurray!!!  I like to wear them too.  They are not just for kids.  I wear the plain ones without flowers, but that's just my preference.  My girls love the flowers.  So if you are looking for CUTE head wraps, check out http://littlepenelopelane.blogspot.com/.

I find myself browsing http://funkypolkadotgiraffe.blogspot.com/ a lot.  Just to read about the fun things going on here, but also because her Etsy store is one of the only ones that makes a
Princess Leia hair Clip.  Now if you know my husband, you know that he is an INSANE Star Wars Fanatic.  There are not even words to describe his love for all things Star Wars.  So when I found this clip, I had to have it.  She also does all the different Disney Princesses.  We own 5 or 6 of them.  My girls adore them and know that they wear them on Disneyland days and days they want to be one with the princess of choice.

Let me move on to clothing.  If you have ever seen my girls, they have a "thing" for Petticoats.  What is a petticoat you ask?  Well it is a big, fluffy, twirly skirt.  It is the only thing Brooklyn will happily wear.  I was finding myself spending $40 a pop to get a new skirt when I decided to make my own.  So I searched the Internet and found this on Marthastewart.com.  It is actually not that hard to follow and make.  And believe me, I am by NO means  good a sewing.  So if you are like me and buy petticoats in bulk, try making your own.  Or search your local TJMax or Marshalls and you might find them at 1/2 price.

Anyway, the baby is crying now, so I need to go be mom.  I hope you get immersed in the hand made world like I do.

  1. Woohoo! Thanks for the shout out. I had a terrible tooth adventure this week, so I haven't been a great blogger. I'm blogging this weekend about V3. Totally didn't take it today because I'm a vicodin zombie and I can tell the different in my appetite and mood.
