Families are Forever!

I feel like this has been the busiest summer ever!  I have not had a chance to really sit down and blog.  But after this week, I owe it to myself and my family to sit down and blog about the week we just had.  First off, the Burgess family, Ken, Sandi, Ben, Angela, Chris, Josh and David, were all together with their families for the first time in YEARS!  I can't even remember when it was we were all together last.  It has been way too long.  I was so thrilled that Ben and his family made the trip out to Utah to be with all of us.  We had such a great 4th of July.  Almost everyone was there.  Family togetherness was had by all.  The family, the food and the fun! Then it was off the the Clayton Family cabin for a few days of more family, and more fun.  The kids got dirty, the sleeping arrangement sucked, the mosquito's were biting, the river was dangerously high, and it even stormed a little, but it was awesome and I loved every minute of it.  I really do want to go back.  Even though I did not sleep one wink the night we were there, I would do it again in a heart beat.  I love my brothers and I adore their spouses and kids.  It was a very special time for all of us.  I forget just how awesome us Burgess kids really are.  I'm not bragging, I'm just honest.  I have the BEST brothers in the whole wide world and I love them all so very much.

So I am an aunt to,
Adelaide
Nolan
Calvin
Kelli Jo

How cool is that!  My 5 girls make it a nice big 15 grand kids to my parents.  Oh yeah, and there is another on the way.  I am so glad that I live so close to some of my brothers so that my kids can really get to know their cousins and to grow up with them and be best friends.  I am so blessed.

Today was the last day of all of us together.  My mom and dad went home this afternoon, but not before we all got together for a GIANT family photo shoot.  It was color coordinated and chaotic.  I can't wait to see the pictures.  I LOVE MY FAMILY!

I love them for the craziness, their faults, their loudness and sarcasm, their trials and their triumphs, their successes and their sorrows, their jokes and their sincerity.  I love them for the good and the bad.  They are an amazing group of people and though some may not always see just how awesome they are at first impression, they will see it shortly after.  The Lord has blessed my family in so many ways and I love them all so much for being who they are.
