Liberty and Justice for all!

I love the 4th of July.  It has got to be by far, one of my most favorite holidays.  Seriously, its comes in a very close second to Christmas.  I love it.  I mean really, what is there not to love?  The colors ROCK.  Come on, USA has the best patriotic colors ever!!!  The family, food, games, fireworks, outfits, parades and knowing that we are living in the land of Liberty.  I love the 4th of July.  This year, the 4th landed on a Sunday.  We try very hard to leave the Sabbath day as the Lords day.  So this year we are opting out of the Sunday, 4th of July parade that we LOVE so much.  Luckily we were invited by grandma to the smaller celebration that her ward in the Irvine Stake did this morning.  It was a blast getting the girls all ready for the bike parade.  I worked so hard on their outfits, that my creative juices were drained before I could get to their scooters.  But they still rocked it and looked fabulous.  Thanks mom for the invite.  We loved it!!

How do they do it?

You know, all those crafty, organized, "on top of things" moms.  How do they do it?  How do they keep their "snack drawers" from being invaded by little hands?  How do they keep the "craft cupboard" so tidy and stocked.  How do they come up with these amazing FHE charts?  How do they keep on top of chore charts and allowances?  How do they have each and every day of summer all planned out and scheduled to keep each kiddo happy?  I find myself reading the most amazing SAHM blogs and just kicking myself for not being able to put into play the things that they suggest doing.  Lord knows that I am trying, I have a snack drawer, but it was empty after 3 days.  THREE DAYS!  Holy hungry kids Batman!!  I have a craft cupboard, but my girls think that it is more of a glue free for all.  I own the cutest weekly chore charts, but it is only exciting for one day and then.....BORING the very next day.  Question with that is, if it is such a boring chart after the first day and no one remembers to fill it out each day, then how come all the hands come out on Saturday....allowance day?  Weird!  Oh and I don't even want to get going on quiet time.  Oh boy!  At least I am trying and at least I am good at trying.  I really am good at trying.  Maybe I should start a blog for those moms who "try".  Do you think that blog would be popular?

Cellebrate the 4th on the 3rd with us!!

John Adams, our second president once said, "On America's birthday there ought to be 'pomp, parade and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other from this time forward forever more.'"

The Woodbridge Ward Primary invites you to celebrate this important holiday on Saturday, July 3rd at 9:00 a.m.
in our very own church parking lot.  Don't expect illuminations, but the festivities will include breakfast,
an inspirational flag-raising ceremony followed by a bicycle parade.

Please bring your favorite breakfast item to share along with your decorated bicycles,
scooters or wagons for a bike parade.

The flag-raising ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 followed by the parade.

Most importantly, don't forget to invite your friends and neighbors to join us for this patriotic celebration!

This Quote....

This quote is what I want every girl in this big bad world to live by.  Oh if only every woman could know this and alway live by it.

“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”
